Ione O'Hara

Ione (Tootsie) O’Hara has a graduate degree in Teaching English as a Second Language and has been an instructor at UNC Charlotte, Central Piedmont Community College, the English Language Training Institute at UNC Charlotte, and Queens University Life Long Learning Institude. She was awarded an Arts & Science Council Grant and a writer’s residency at Virginia Center for the Creative Arts.

Her poems have been published Cold Mountain Review, The Crucible, Earth and Soul: An Anthology of North Carolina Poetry, Iodine, ISLE (Interdisciplinary Studies in Literature and Environment), Kakalak Anthology, Keystone, Main Street Rag, Poets for Peace, Savannah Literary Journal, Sanskrit, Southern Poetry, and Wellspring. Her chapbook, A Passing Certainty, was published by Pudding House Press in the summer of 2004.
