C.P. Varnum, originally from Atlanta, Georgia, now calls Charlotte her home. For her, writing is necessary. The process of crafting poems enables her to reach bare-handed into the soul and gouge out something tangible. She has studied under Rebecca McClanahan and NC Poet Laureate, Cathy Smith Bowers. Her White Chicken Chili is the bee’s knees. Charlotte Viewpoint is her first publication.
