Peter Gorman, Ed.D., is Superintendant of Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools. Prior to joining CMS, he served as superintendant of schools in Tustin, California. He is a former COO and CIO of the Orange County school system in Florida. He earned his B.A. in elementary education at Michigan State University, an M.B.A. from Rollins College, and a master’s and doctorate in education from the University of Central Florida, and attended the New Superintendents Institute at Harvard University.
