Doug Singleton / Author

Doug Singleton is Executive Director of North Carolina Dance Theatre.  Doug attended the College of Charleston and after graduating traveled the world for more than five years with the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater. While in New York City, he served as producing manager for the premiere performances of Complexions, led by Dwight Rhoden and Desmond Richardson, as well as other luminaries of the dance world including Masazumi Chaya, Garth Fagan, Judith Jamison, Lar Lubovitch, Donald McKayle and Jowle Willa Jo Zallar. He recently received the Charlotte Business Journal’s 40 under 40 awards and was selected to the 2008-2010 class of the William C. Friday Fellowship for Human Relations.
