Joan Lorden, Ph.D., is Provost and Vice Chancellor of Academic Affairs at UNC Charlotte. Prior to coming to UNC Charlotte in 2003, she served as Associate Provost for Research and Dean of the Graduate School at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB), where she was Professor of Psychology. She received the Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and the Doctor of Philosophy in Psychology from Yale University.
