Peter Lehmuller is Dean of Academic Affairs at Johnson & Wales University, Charlotte campus. Prior to moving to Charlotte in July of 2003, he had been Director of Culinary Education at Johnson & Wales University College of Culinary Arts in Norfolk, Virginia. He joined the school’s culinary faculty in September of 1995. Chef Lehmuller entered the culinary profession under the guidance of Thomas Keller at La Reserve in New York City, served as personal chef to New York Governor Mario M. Cuomo, and worked at private clubs and hotels in Little Rock and San Francisco. He holds a doctoral degree in education from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, a Master’s degree from Old Dominion University; a bachelor’s degree from the State University of New York at Albany and an associate degree from the Culinary Institute of America. He and his wife Lisa reside in Charlotte with their two children.
