Martin Settle teaches English at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. He was born and raised in the Midwest, and is bonded forever with a place on the Mississippi River called Quincy, Illinois. No morning bird songs are ever quite right for him unless they come from that region of the country. His love of nature, family and work have become so integrated that he claims to be a happy man.
