The four actors in CAST's production of "The Other Place" can relate to the characters they portray. Each one of them in real life has been touched in some way by dementia, the play's central topic. CV's Donald Devet sat down with them while in rehearsal to discuss the significance of this play for Charlotte audiences, and how the play sheds light on "the duress of this disease."

Charlotte Viewpoint works to foster a strong cultural life in the city by encouraging civic engagement through special events, and we hope you will join us on Wednesday night, January 8 for a sneak preview of “The Other Place" followed by a panel discussion led by Matt Merrell, Davidson Community Player’s Executive Director, with Matt Olin, who helped develop the award-winning drama; director Michael R. Simmons, who is also CAST’s Artistic Director; and members of the cast.

Dessert and coffee will be served.

This event is the second in our new CV Conversations @ CAST series, for which we are thrilled to partner with the theatre.

Doors open at 6:30 p.m. The preview begins promptly at 7:30 p.m.
